Friday again! Lots of very fun things happening this weekend, but the most exciting by FAR is that my sister is having twin girls! She and her husband have kept the names secret, and I can’t wait to hear what the little chickadees will be called (though I’m pretty darn confident about my guesses…).
So looking forward to meeting the little ladies and so happy to have two new members in the family!
I have been looking forward to this weekend for WEEKS. I am so excited to go home tonight for Easter.
Things that I will NOT be doing to celebrate include making many of the weird Easter creations I’ve seen on Pinterest.
Who wants to hack off a chunk of a bunny’s backside for dessert? I guess it’s a cute pudgy little image, but I don’t want to eat that.
Similarly, I don’t want to be forced to make a comparison between some creamy dip and the stomach contents of an animal like this: And this yolky cupcake-stuffed-into-eggshell isn’t in any way appealing at all.
I’ll be sticking to the classics this year
Happy Easter, and happy weekend!
Time to walk into the weekend.
This week I’ve been catching up on a little of this guy (season 3– so good! so pleased I didn’t give up after season 1)
Drinking a lot of these per this challenge (a second so good!)
And doing a lot of this (third and final so good! I think I’ve finally landed on my type of yoga, and it’s bikram)
This weekend, I’ve got a few of these to celebrate
And hopefully I’ll also find something on the internet that I feel like writing a real post about.
And I also hope I’ll find the means to fund buying every piece of this collection.
Happy weekends, y’all!
Friday Friday! So looking forward to a weekend with a very dear friend who is making her way to the Nation’s Capitol all the way from Chicago.Aaaaand schoolgirlgiggly excited to watch these three in action on Saturday afternoon. I was a latecomer to the Hunger Games phenom, but now I can’t get enough. The only thing that’s distressing is that Gale/Liam Hemsworth/Miley’s boyfriend (well, that last part is upsetting as well) was born in 1992. I am old.
And to end with an uplifting bit of good counsel from Haymitch that I hope none of you need this weekend:
“Here’s some advice. Stay alive.”
The weekend is here! I’m heading into a busy one. A couple of birthdays, some sake (help me), a little St. Patrick’s Day revelry, and then the grand finale on Sunday with a visit from one of my very best friends.
Which photo is of us?
See ya next week!
I’m bopping around here today
before heading here
where I can’t wait to celebrate one of these!
A schmoopy P.S. The note that went along with that last image included the wedding vows that were said when those rings were exchanged. Pretty darn cute. “i will kill the spiders. i will share my fries with you when you’ve finished all yours and are still hungry. i won’t ever pop my collar. i will never be rude to your tummy- when i hear it growl and gurgle, i promise to bend down and reply respectfully. i will eat the mushrooms when we order the supreme pizza. i will kiss the papercuts. and the door-slammed finger. and the counter-bumped hip. i’ll try my hardest not to get annoyed when you whisper questions and comments during movies. i will be the big spoon. i will let you win at wrestling. sometimes. other times i will not.i will send you random txts and leave you silly gifts. not always. not on schedule. just whenever i want to. whenever i think you need one. or seven. i will check your tire pressure. and remind you to take your car in. i will hold your hand. i will love you. i will love you. i will love you.”
Another Friday rolls around…hooray! This week’s warm weather got me so amped for spring.
Tonight, however, I’ve got to figure out how to make myself look something like this:
So far I have a dress. And heels, I have heels. Not quite enough to transport me to another decade/another continent. We’ll see what I can do. It could be a very loose interpretation.
Have a great weekend, and see ya back next week!
